Esta Isla is a Puerto Rican feature in the US Narrative Competition with its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival 2025. The movie is described as follows: young lovers Bebo and Lola, from different social worlds in Puerto Rico, escape to a remote area of the island after a murder occurs. We talk with co-directors Christian Carretero and Lorraine Jones about the significance of the film's shooting locations and the sociopolitical aspect of the film's Puerto Rican representation.
