After winning the Grand Jury Prize for Documentary Feature and being recently shortlisted for Best Documentary Feature for the Academy Awards, Porcelain War is now in limited theatrical release. Under roaring fighter jets, Ukrainian artists Slava, Anya, and Andrey choose to stay behind. Defiantly finding beauty amid destruction, they show that although it’s easy to make people afraid, it’s hard to destroy their passion for living. We discuss the bravery and courage it took to make the film and feature the work of the Ukrainian artists during the war.
