Written and directed by Mike Flanagan, The Exorcist: Martyrs stars Scarlett Johansson as Detective Julie Miller, who investigates a demonic homicide case, Deadline reports. Joining the cast are John Leguizamo, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sasha Calle, Diane Lane, Jacobi Jupe, Scoot McNairy, Gil Bellows, and Laurence Fishburne. The film is based on characters created by The Exorcist author William Peter Blatty. Martyrs premieres in theaters on March 12, 2027.

The live-action adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Look Back, directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda, released its second trailer via GKIDS. Kore-eda wrote, directed, and edited the live-action adaptation, which is based on the acclaimed anime and manga and centers on artistic passion, friendship, grief, and two friends moving forward.

Fujimoto is also known for the Chainsaw Man manga, while his one-shot manga Look Back received widespread critical praise and was regarded as one of the best anime films of 2024. Despite its relatively short runtime of about 59 minutes, the film also achieved commercial success, according to Crunchyroll.

The cast includes Ryô Ikeda, Miyu Sasaki, Maho Yamada, Natsuki Deguchi, Kankurō Kudō, Aju Makita, Furi Nanase, and Rokka Okada. Although the movie opened in Japanese theaters on September 11, 2026, its release date for the US, Canada, and the UK has yet to be announced, despite a scheduled 2026 theatrical rollout.

Clay Enos/Prime

Prime Video gave us a new trailer for Blade Runner 2099 at New York Comic Con. As confirmed by Variety, Jonathan van Tulleken directs the limited series, which unfolds five decades after Blade Runner 2049 (2017). It explores a reborn Los Angeles where fugitive Cora (Hunter Schafer) takes on her final identity as Blade Runner. She must team up with Olwen (Michelle Yeoh), a dying Replicant, to hunt down a runaway whose hidden truth could threaten the city.

Based on Philip K. Dick’s 1968 novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?”, the Blade Runner franchise started with Ridley Scott’s 1982 film starring Harrison Ford. Scott now returns to the franchise as an executive producer on the series, for which Silka Luisa serves as showrunner.

All eight episodes of Blade Runner 2099 will premiere on November 25, 2026, on Prime Video.
