Drowning Dry originally had its world premiere at Locarno Film Festival in 2024 and is now in limited theatrical release in the US. The film is described as follows: to celebrate Lukas’ victory at the martial arts tournament and Tomas’ birthday party, their wives Juste and Ernesta organize a weekend at the summer house with a families. It was suppose to be a quiet weekend at countryside. We are joined by director Laurynas Bareisa to discuss the making of the film along with its prominent themes of familial relationships, sisterhood, and masculinity.
