Sara Ciplickas sits down with Michelle Visage, Executive Producer and Judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race. The two discussed season eighteen, her role in front of and behind the camera, and the progression of Queer television.

Every single Queen is inspirational, even the ones I only get to know for a week or two. They’re all inspirational and incredibly talented. But for me, watching them from where they start to where they end, whether they go all the way or win, is so rewarding. I want to say it’s like being a parent. I have my own children, and watching them grow has been a gift. So watching these Queens realize their full potential, there’s something really magical about that. It’s the moment it clicks, when you see them step into their power. That is so inspiring, so rewarding and exciting. It gives me the chills.
