While we are still waiting for an official sneak peek or trailer for Evil Dead Burn, directed by Sebastian Vanicek, we are pleasantly surprised by the news that Evil Dead Wrath has officially wrapped production.
The Evil Dead franchise is not just another horror franchise but an influential cult horror saga that audiences cannot get enough of. It has evolved over timesince 1981 as the audience’s interest in narrative depth has grown. The original started as a gritty, low-budget horror film, but the modern ones are now personal, character-driven, and use the Necronomicon more as a plot device than as deep mythology.
Slated for summer 2026 release, Evil Dead Burn follows the critically acclaimed Evil Dead Rise(2023), which was directed by Lee Cronin, best known for another horror franchise continuation this year, Lee Cronin’s The Mummy. While Burn will exist within the same connected universe, it is expected to introduce new characters and storylines, ultimately standing as a standalone installment.
Evil Dead Wrath is officially revealed now as the title for the next Evil Dead movie after Burn. Writer-director Francis Galluppi is taking charge of the project, and the plot is still under wraps.
According to Variety, Galluppi declared Evil Dead as his source of inspiration to make movies. He said, “It’s one of the movies that legitimately made me want to make movies.”
He went on to explain that he has been a great fan of all Evil Dead films and cannot choose one as his favorite. He calls them “comfort” movies and loves each one of them for his own reasons, including the show.
The cast of the film includes Charlotte Hope, Jessica McName, Zach Gilford, Josh Helman, Ella Newton, Elizabeth Cullen, and Ella Oilphant, according to Bloody Disgusting.
Distributed by New Line Cinema, the film is produced byEvil Dead creator Sam Raimi and longtime franchise producer Rob Tapert. Serving as executive producers are Bruce Campbell, Lee Cronin, along with Romel Adam and Jose Canas.
An official trailer hasn’t been released so far, and we absolutely can’t wait for one.
