Today, the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) revealed the first three films to be shown at its 51st edition, all appearing in the Gala Presentation section. TIFF will continue to release its selection of films in the coming weeks, with the full slate set for August 11. 

Opening Night Film:

Being Heumann, directed by Siân Heder

World Premiere, USA, Gala Presentation

Prima Facie, directed by Susanna White

World Premiere, Australia/UK, Gala Presentation

The Assassin(s), directed by Hur Jin-ho

World Premiere, South Korea, Gala Presentation

The Toronto International Film Festival is set to take place September 11 to 20, 2026.
