Vulture’s Movies Fantasy League is well underway for the 2025-26 awards season and our team has been participating! Back in part one of this podcast mini-series, we discussed how we drafted our teams based on the criteria of box office, critical reception, and awards. The rules for how to play are available on the MFL hub, but their summary is as follows, “You select a roster of exactly eight films within a budget of 100 imaginary dollars. Once the scoring phase of the game begins, the films you’ve drafted will accumulate points for achieving milestones in box-office take, precursor awards/nominations, critical approval, and more.” We are revisiting our team’s leaderboard now that we’re reached phase 2 of awards season with the Oscar nominations announced! Our league at The Rolling Tape is visible by searching our name on the leaderboard.
