Harrison Ford is officially set to return to Cannes with his final effort in the long-running franchise as Indiana Jones. Starring the legendary archaeologist and directed by James Mangold (Ford v. Ferrari, Logan), the franchise will come to a close with its fifth installment, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny which will have its highly anticipated world premiere at the prestigious Cannes festival this May.
Mangold first came to Cannes as part of the Director’s Fortnite section in 1995, and he will now be able to share the final adventure of Indiana Jones with the Cannes audience. Starring alongside Ford in the film are Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, John Rhys-Davies, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook, Ethann Isidore, and Mads Mikkelsen.
The film will premiere out of competition on Thursday, May 18 at the festival before going wide in theaters June 30.
