In the first edition of our newly formatted Monday episode of The Rolling Tape, we are discussing a new release, similar to what we have always done, while also expanding the conversation to include conversation on related industry topics and segments.

Today we’ll discuss Sirât as well as zoom out to NEON as a whole, unpacking the success of their 2025 slate while looking ahead to their upcoming releases in 2026. Stay with us as we also wrap up with a preview of February on what’s to come for our show as well as what we’ll see in theaters for the remainder of the month. Sirat’s North American rights were acquired by NEON as part of their international acquisition spree. The film went on to become Spain’s submission to the Academy Awards where it was shortlisted in five categories and nominated for two Oscars for Best Sound and Best International Feature.
