Thou Shalt Not Judge Families Under Observation!

Happy Halloween from all of us at The Rolling Tape, we hope you have your costumes and horror movies lined up for the weekend. Today, we’re a bit less in the Halloween spirit but we are talking about two major movies in Fjord, this year’s Palme d’Or winner, and Possible Love, this year's Golden Lion loser.

We’re going international this week and assessing legal and moral boundaries across borders from auteurs Cristian Mungiu and Lee Chang-Dong. Last week we moved from Portland to Gotham and this week it's Norway to South Korea for our fifth weekend of double feature cross-programming.

Let us know which has been your favorite so far, we’ll have one more double feature to come next week. Today, we rank October’s releases as a whole and review both films.

Our pre-episode Patreon exclusive conversation features:

  • Celebrating Hallo-weekend Horror
  • “Public Access Afterworld” from Jane Schoenbrun
  • Losing Sir Patrick Stewart
  • Dune: Part Three Final Trailer
