Wow you can see everything inside this whale’s stomach! That’s an unconfirmed quote by Austin Abrams but also the title of the third double feature in our month-long cross-programming celebration.

It’s arguably one of the busiest release weekends of the entire calendar year with no shortage of titles from Street Fighter to Sense and Sensibility to the restoration of Ken Russell’s The Devils all happening now. This week, however, we’ve opted to stare deep into the ocean blue eyes of Elizabeth Holmes and go out to sea with Austin Abrams and his daddy issues in Whalefall and You Can See Everything.

Whalefall is written and directed by Brian Duffield and follows a scuba diver who, while looking for his father's remains, is swallowed by an 80-foot, 60-ton sperm whale and has just one hour to get out before his oxygen runs out.

You Can See Everything is co-directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim following Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes and her family during the thirty-four days before she's sent to prison.

Our pre-episode Patreon exclusive conversation features:

  • Miami Vice '85 first look
  • Greta Gerwig's Narnia trailer
  • Girls TV show revival
  • Steven Soderbergh to take over directing The Batman 2
