Two of pop culture’s biggest entertainers on tour this year plan to release concert documentaries.

Taylor Swift and Beyoncé have brought stellar shows to cities everywhere and will continue to share their talents with audiences in theaters across the United States and the world.

On October 1st, Beyoncé announced her tour documentary by sharing a trailer documenting her Renaissance Tour. Both Swift and Knowles-Carter have previously released documentaries based on past tours and career milestones.

With Taylor Swift’s Miss Americana, distributed by Netflix, audiences were able to understand the pressures and realities of Taylor’s busy and impressive lifestyle. The film navigated through multiple serious topics, diving into the very personal life of the pop star.

Beyoncé’s 2019 film, Homecoming, also distributed by Netflix, allowed fans to see the creative process of putting on a “Beyoncé-level” performance.

Documentary concert films typically allow audiences to see the hurdles such superstars jump while balancing their personal lives with the parts of themselves shared with millions of strangers. Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” film is set to be released on October 13th. Beyoncé’s film will follow in December.

If you haven’t had the chance to see either of these performers live, you’ll be able to catch a glimpse very soon at your local theater.
