The 96th Annual Oscars occurred last Sunday,  and attendees and fans alike were left buzzing with delight. From a lackluster showing from Killers of the Flower Moon to a stellar outing for Poor Things, the awards did not disappoint.

To no surprise, Oppenheimer came home with the most wins for a single film, totaling 7 for the cast and crew.

Everyone got on their feet for Ryan Gosling’s outstanding performance of “I’m Just Ken,” and a beautiful rendition of “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell begged for a standing ovation. The energy in the theater was electric.

Past winners lined the stage to support the new winners of Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Supporting Actress, introducing a fun twist to the usual announcements. This year’s ceremony was lighthearted and joyous, something desperately needed after the past year of strikes and pauses.
